There are two monument companies in the Tamaqua area: Walter's Monument Company, located in Summit Hill, and Womer's Memorials, located in Kempton.

Walter's Monument Company

From their website: "At Walters Monument, we are honored to bring remembrance and peace to your loved ones. We have been serving the Carbon, Schuylkill, Luzerne, and other surrounding counties for over 25 years. We also deliver out of the area as well. We have been to New Jersey, New York, Maine, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Ohio. We can also drop ship any type of monument to any state. We are a full-service monument retailer doing all our own work here, including sandblasting, engraving, and foundations and deliveries. As well as monuments, we do mausoleums, bronze plaques, community projects, including war memorials, welcome and business signs, and bricks, both for personal and fundraising."

Womer Memorials

From their website: "We specialize in custom etchings, creating a work of art for your loved one. We have a variety of special designs, but ultimately you create the monument you desire. We have created some wonderful works of art for our customers and satisfaction is guaranteed. We pride ourselves in quality work and of the granite we offer to our customers. We are a family owned and operated business and have been for over 50 years. Our staff is friendly and personable and are available to take care of you and your family during your time of need."
