LeRoy K. Bridygham, 87, of Valley Road, Walker Township, PA died on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Mary L. (nee Bensinger) Bridygham to whom he was married 61 years. Born in Tamaqua, PA on December 16, 1930, LeRoy was the son of the late Kenneth and Grace (nee Whetstone) Bridygham. A 1948 graduate of Tamaqua High School, he graduated from the Lehigh Barber School in 1969, opened his own shop in his home, and retired in 2015. Prior to attending the barber school, LeRoy was employed by Walker Township in 1948 and by Keich Motors for 10 years. He was a member of Zion Church, Lewistown Valley and a life member of the New England Fire Company. A ham radio operator, LeRoy was a 50-year member of the Tamaqua Radio Club. He was a 50-year voter; a very skilled builder of cabinets, an avid gardener, and enjoyed cooking. LeRoy is survived by his wife Mary. On Saturday, October 27, a 10:30 AM graveside service will be held in Zion Cemetery, Lewistown Valley followed by an 11 AM memorial service in Zion Church, Lewistown Valley, with Pastor Jim Williams officiating.
